2 Samuel 4:2

Isyboset anak Saul ada dua orang ketua pasukan yang pertama bernama Baana dan yang kedua bernama Rekhab Mereka anak Rimon orang Beerot daripada bani Benyamin kerana Beerot juga dikira sebagai daerah Benyamin

2 Samuel 4:5

Anak-anak Rimon orang Beerot itu yakni Rekhab dan Baana berangkat ke rumah Isyboset dan tiba di situ pada hari yang panas terik Ketika itu Isyboset sedang berehat tengah hari

Mereka masuk ke bahagian tengah rumah seolah-olah hendak mengambil gandum lalu menikam dia di perutnya Setelah itu Rekhab dan Baana saudaranya melarikan diri

Akan tetapi jawab Daud kepada Rekhab dan Baana saudaranya anak-anak Rimon orang Beerot itu Demi Tuhan yang hidup yang telah menebus nyawaku daripada segala kesesakan

Kemudian Yehu dan Yonadab anak Rekhab masuk ke dalam kuil Baal Kepada orang yang beribadat kepada Baal dia berkata Periksa dan lihatlah jangan sampai ada seorang pun hamba Tuhan di sini bersama-samamu Biarlah hanya ada orang yang beribadat kepada Baal sahaja

Hal yang diamanatkan Yonadab anak Rekhab kepada keturunannya supaya mereka tidak minum air anggur telah dilaksanakan Sampai hari ini mereka tidak minum air anggur kerana mereka mentaati amanat leluhur mereka Sebaliknya kepada kamu Aku telah berfirman terus-menerus tetapi kamu tidak mahu mendengar Aku

Jeremiah 35:16

Sungguh keturunan Yonadab anak Rekhab telah melaksanakan amanat yang diberikan leluhur mereka kepada mereka tetapi bangsa ini tidak mahu mendengar Aku

Maka beginilah firman Tuhan alam semesta Allah Israel Tidak akan terputus keturunan Yonadab anak Rekhab yang mengabdi kepada-Ku sepanjang masa
