Namun demikian Tuhan berfirman kepada Ahia Ketahuilah isteri Yerobeam datang untuk mencari petunjuk daripada kamu mengenai anaknya kerana anak itu sakit Beginilah harus kaukatakan kepadanya Waktu dia datang dia akan berpura-pura menjadi orang lain

Apabila Ahia mendengar bunyi langkah kaki perempuan itu memasuki pintu berkatalah ia Masuklah wahai isteri Yerobeam Mengapakah engkau berpura-pura menjadi orang lain Aku disuruh menyampaikan kepadamu khabar yang menyusahkan

Seluruh Israel menguburkan bayi itu dan meratapinya selaras dengan firman yang disampaikan Tuhan dengan perantaraan hamba-Nya nabi Ahia
