Maka orang Filistin menangkapnya lalu mencungkil kedua-dua belah matanya dan membawanya ke Gaza Di situ dia dibelenggu dengan dua utas rantai tembaga dan dia dikerah bekerja sebagai penggiling di penjara

Ketika hati mereka bersuka ria itu berkatalah mereka Panggillah Simson untuk menghiburkan kita Simson dipanggil dari penjara lalu dia melawak di depan mereka Kemudian mereka menyuruh dia berdiri di antara tiang bangunan
