Ketika itu orang Israel mengirim utusan kepada raja negeri Edom dengan permintaan Izinkanlah kami melintasi negerimu ini Tetapi raja negeri Edom tidak mahu mendengar Mereka juga mengirim utusan kepada raja negeri Moab tetapi raja itu juga menolak Oleh itu orang Israel tinggal di Kadesh
