Mereka mengangkat jenazahnya ke Tanah Kanaan lalu memakamkannya di dalam gua di ladang Makhpela di sebelah timur Mamre yang sekali gus dengan ladangnya dibeli oleh Abraham daripada bani Het iaitu Efron untuk dijadikan pemakaman persendirian keluarganya
