Ketika itu Debora seorang nabiah dan isteri kepada Lapidot menjadi hakim kepada Israel

Judges 4:5

Dia biasanya duduk di bawah pokok kurma Debora antara Rama dengan Betel di pergunungan Efraim dan orang Israel mendatanginya demi mendapatkan penghakimannya

Judges 4:9

Jawab Debora Baik aku turut Namun begitu dalam perjalanan ini kelak penghormatan bukan milikmu tetapi bagi perempuan yang ke dalam tangannya Tuhan akan menyerahkan Sisera Maka Debora bangun berdiri dan pergi bersama-sama Barak ke Kedesh

Judges 4:10

Maka Barak diikuti sepuluh ribu orang daripada bani Zebulon dan bani Naftali yang dikerahnya ke Kedesh dan Debora juga mara bersama-sama Barak

Judges 4:14

Lalu berkatalah Debora kepada Barak Bersiaplah kerana inilah harinya Tuhan menyerahkan Sisera ke dalam tanganmu Bukankah Tuhan telah mara di depan engkau Lalu turunlah Barak bersama-sama sepuluh ribu orang dari Gunung Tabor

Judges 5:1

Pada hari itu menyanyilah Debora dan Barak anak Abinoam demikian

Judges 5:7

Tiada kepimpinan lagi di Israel sehingga aku Debora bangkit sebagai seorang ibu di Israel

Judges 5:12

Bangunlah bangunlah Debora Bangunlah bangunlah nyanyikanlah suatu lagu Bangkitlah Barak dan pimpinlah para tawananmu wahai anak Abinoam

Judges 5:15

Juga para pemimpin suku Isakhar menyertai Debora dan seperti Isakhar demikianlah Naftali menyertai Barak Mereka menyusul dia dan menyerbu masuk ke lembah Namun demikian suku Ruben membuat banyak pertimbangan
