Bani Yusuf terdiri daripada dua suku iaitu Manasye dan Efraim sehingga tidak ada bahagian yang diberikan kepada suku Lewi di negeri itu kecuali kota-kota untuk dihuni berserta padang-padang ragut untuk ternakan dan kawanan haiwan mereka
