Pada waktu matahari terbenam atas perintah Yosua jenazah mereka diturunkan dari atas pokok-pokok itu lalu dicampakkan ke dalam gua tempat mereka bersembunyi Setelah itu di mulut gua diletakkan batu-batu besar yang masih ada sampai hari ini juga
