Semua yang ada di dalam kota itu baik lelaki mahupun perempuan baik tua mahupun muda termasuklah lembu domba dan keldai ditumpaskan mereka dengan mata pedang

Joshua 11:12

Yosua menawan semua kota milik raja-raja itu Semua rajanya ditumpaskan dengan mata pedang seperti yang diperintahkan Musa hamba Tuhan itu

Tuhan memang berkehendak mengeraskan hati semua orang itu agar mereka datang berperang melawan orang Israel Dengan demikian mereka ditumpaskan tanpa mendapat belas kasihan dan dimusnahkan seperti yang diperintahkan Tuhan kepada Musa

Pada waktu itu juga Yosua pergi memusnahkan orang Enak dari pergunungan iaitu dari Hebron dari Debir dari Anab dari seluruh pergunungan Yehuda dan dari seluruh pergunungan Israel Mereka dan kota-kota mereka ditumpaskan oleh Yosua
