Dia berkata kepada mereka Jika hatimu ikhlas mengizinkan aku untuk memakamkan isteriku di sini dengarlah Minta kepada Efron anak Zohar atas namaku

Disaksikan oleh penduduk negeri itu berkatalah dia kepada Efron Jika kamu tidak keberatan dengarlah aku Aku akan membayar harga ladang itu Terimalah wang daripadaku supaya aku akan memakamkan isteriku di sana

Demikianlah ladang Efron di Makhpela di sebelah timur Mamre iaitu ladang dan gua yang ada di dalamnya serta semua pokok di ladang itu sampai sekeliling perbatasannya
