dan tidak menyimpang ke kanan atau ke kiri daripada segala hal yang kusampaikan kepadamu pada hari ini dengan mengikuti tuhan-tuhan lain serta beribadat menyembah mereka

Deuteronomy 28:64

Tuhan pun akan mencerai-beraikan kamu antara segala bangsa dari hujung bumi ke hujung bumi Di sana kamu akan beribadat menyembah tuhan-tuhan kayu dan batu yang tidak dikenali baik olehmu mahupun oleh nenek moyangmu

Jangan sampai ada antaramu lelaki perempuan kaum ataupun suku yang pada hari ini hatinya berpaling daripada Tuhan Allah kita untuk pergi beribadat menyembah tuhan bangsa-bangsa itu Jangan sampai ada antaramu akar yang menghasilkan pokok beracun atau buah yang pahit

Mereka pergi beribadat menyembah tuhan-tuhan lain dan sujud menyembah semua itu iaitu tuhan-tuhan yang tidak dikenal mereka dan yang tidak diperuntukkan Tuhan untuk mereka
