Deuteronomy 2:34

Pada waktu itu kita merebut semua kotanya dan menumpaskan semua penduduknya baik lelaki perempuan mahupun anak-anak Tiada seorang pun kita biarkan selamat

Dia menawan negeri itu berserta rajanya dan segala kotanya Semuanya ditumpaskannya dengan mata pedang begitu jugalah setiap jiwa yang ada di dalamnya Tiada seorang pun dibiarkannya hidup Seperti dia memperlakukan Hebron juga Libna dan rajanya demikianlah dia memperlakukan Debir dan rajanya

Demikianlah Yosua mengalahkan seluruh negeri itu pergunungan Tanah Negeb dataran rendah lereng-lereng gunung berserta semua raja mereka Tiada seorang pun dibiarkannya hidup melainkan ditumpasnya semua yang bernafas seperti yang diperintahkan Tuhan Allah Israel
