Deuteronomy 1:42

Tetapi Tuhan berfirman kepadaku Katakanlah kepada mereka Jangan maju dan jangan berperang kerana Aku tidak hadir antara kamu nanti kamu tumpas di hadapan musuh-musuhmu

Deuteronomy 20:1

Apabila engkau keluar berperang melawan musuh-musuhmu lalu melihat segala kuda dan rata iaitu pasukan yang lebih besar daripada kamu jangan takut kepada mereka kerana Tuhan Allahmu yang telah menuntun kamu keluar dari Tanah Mesir menyertai kamu

Deuteronomy 20:3

Hendaklah dia berkata kepada mereka Dengarlah wahai orang Israel Pada hari ini kamu akan menghadapi peperangan melawan musuh-musuhmu Jangan tawar hati jangan takut jangan gentar dan jangan cemas kerana mereka

Deuteronomy 20:4

sebab Tuhan Allahmu hadir menyertai kamu untuk berperang bagimu melawan musuh-musuhmu dan memberimu kemenangan
