Oleh sebab itu aku mengambil para ketua sukumu orang yang bijak dan berpengalaman lalu menetapkan mereka menjadi pemimpin kepadamu iaitu pemimpin pasukan seribu pemimpin pasukan seratus pemimpin pasukan lima puluh pemimpin pasukan sepuluh juga sebagai pengatur pasukan bagi suku-sukumu

Deuteronomy 5:23

Sebaik sahaja kamu mendengar suara itu di tengah-tengah kegelapan sementara gunung itu menyala-nyala dengan api maka kamu iaitu semua ketua sukumu dan tua-tuamu mendatangi aku

Sebaliknya carilah tempat yang akan dipilih Tuhan Allahmu daripada kalangan semua sukumu sebagai tempat untuk menegakkan nama-Nya dan pergilah ke sana

Persembahkanlah korban bakaranmu hanya di tempat yang akan dipilih Tuhan di daerah satu daripada sukumu dan hendaklah di sana kamu melakukan segala sesuatu yang kuperintahkan kepadamu
