Namun demikian Lut beria-ia mendesak mereka sehingga mereka singgah juga dan masuk ke rumahnya Dia menjamu mereka Dibuatnya roti yang tidak beragi lalu mereka pun makan

Katanya kepada Lut Baiklah dalam hal ini pun permintaanmu kuterima Aku tidak akan menelungkupkan kota yang kausebutkan itu

Tetapi isteri Lut menoleh ke belakang lalu menjadi sebatang tiang garam

Kemudian dari Zoar Lut bersama-sama dua orang anak perempuannya pergi lalu tinggal di pergunungan kerana dia berasa takut untuk tinggal di Zoar Maka menetaplah Lut di dalam sebuah gua bersama-sama dua orang anak perempuannya itu
