Pada waktu itu Daniel menjawab dengan penuh arif dan hemat kepada Ariokh pemimpin pengawal raja yang telah bersiap untuk membunuh orang bijak di Babel

Daniel 2:24

Oleh sebab itu Daniel pergi menemui Ariokh yang telah dilantik oleh raja untuk membinasakan orang bijak di Babel Dia pergi dan berkata demikian kepadanya Jangan binasakan orang bijak di Babel Bawalah hamba menghadap raja Hamba akan memberitahukan tafsiran mimpi itu kepada raja

Daniel 2:25

Maka Ariokh segera membawa Daniel untuk menghadap raja Dia berkata demikian kepada raja Hamba telah menemukan salah seorang buangan daripada bani Yehuda yang dapat memberitahukan tafsiran mimpi itu kepada Raja
