Pada waktu Allah memusnahkan kota-kota di lembah itu Dia mengingat perjanjian-Nya dengan Abraham Oleh sebab itu Dia menyuruh Lut keluar dari tengah-tengah kehancuran itu sewaktu Dia menelungkupkan kota-kota raya tempat Lut tinggal

Daripada kota-kota raya yang kamu tentukan itu enam buah kota raya akan menjadi kota perlindungan bagimu
