Leviticus 14:8

Hendaklah orang yang akan disucikan itu mencuci pakaiannya mencukur semua rambutnya dan membasuh dirinya dengan air barulah dia menjadi suci Sesudah itu dia boleh masuk ke dalam perkhemahan tetapi hendaklah dia tinggal selama tujuh hari di luar khemahnya

Leviticus 14:9

Pada hari ketujuh hendaklah dia mencukur semua rambutnya iaitu rambut kepala janggut alis bahkan seluruh bulu di tubuhnya Hendaklah dia mencuci pakaiannya membasuh tubuhnya di dalam air dan dia akan menjadi suci

Leviticus 21:5

Para imam tidak boleh menggondolkan kepala mereka mencukur tepi janggut mereka ataupun membuat torehan pada tubuh mereka

Jika seseorang tiba-tiba mati di sisinya sehingga ternajis kepalanya yang disucikan itu maka hendaklah dia mencukur rambutnya pada hari penyuciannya iaitu hari ketujuh

Numbers 6:18

Kemudian hendaklah penazar itu mencukur rambut kepala yang menandakan dirinya sebagai seorang penazar itu di depan pintu Khemah Pertemuan Hendaklah dia juga mengambil rambut kepala yang menandakan dirinya sebagai penazar itu lalu meletakkannya di dalam api di bawah korban kedamaian

Hendaklah imam mengambil bahu domba jantan yang sudah direbus sebiji kuih tidak beragi dari dalam bakul dan sekeping roti tipis tidak beragi lalu meletakkannya di telapak tangan penazar setelah dia mencukur rambut kepala yang menandakan dirinya sebagai penazar itu

Judges 16:19

Delila memujuk agar Simson tidur di pangkuannya lalu dipanggilnya seorang dan disuruhnya mencukur ketujuh-tujuh jambul rambutnya sehingga mulailah Simson ditundukkan oleh perempuan itu sesudah dia tiada lagi kekuatannya itu
