Di seluruh bumi cuma satu bahasa dan satu loghat pada ketika itu

Baiklah Kita turun dan mencelarukan bahasa di seluruh bumi agar mereka bingung sehingga mereka tidak saling mengerti bahasa satu sama lain

Itulah sebabnya nama kota raya itu Babel kerana di sanalah Tuhan mencelarukan bahasa seluruh bumi dan dari sanalah Tuhan menyerakkan umat manusia ke seluruh muka bumi
