Namun demikian Musa memohon belas kasihan Tuhan Allahnya Dia berkata Ya Tuhan mengapakah murka-Mu menyala terhadap umat-Mu yang Engkau bawa keluar dari Tanah Mesir dengan kuasa yang besar dan dengan tangan yang kuat

Exodus 32:12

Mengapakah orang Mesir harus berkata begini Dia membawa mereka keluar dengan niat jahat iaitu untuk memusnahkan mereka di pergunungan dan untuk melenyapkan mereka daripada muka bumi Semoga Engkau berpalinglah daripada murka-Mu yang menyala-nyala dan berbelas kasihanlah Janganlah datangkan malapetaka kepada umat-Mu
