Exodus 28:30

Hendaklah kamu letakkan Urim dan Tumim di dalam penutup dada yang digunakan untuk mengemukakan keputusan hukum Kedua-duanya hendaklah berada tepat di depan jantung Harun ketika dia masuk menghadap Tuhan Dengan demikian di hadapan Tuhan Harun akan sentiasa membawa keputusan-keputusan hukum bagi bani Israel

Leviticus 8:8

Dia pun memasangkan penutup dada Harun serta meletakkan Urim dan Tumim di sebelah dalam penutup dada itu

Numbers 27:21

Hendaklah dia berdiri di depan Imam Eleazar yang akan menanyakan petunjuk baginya melalui keputusan Urim di hadapan Tuhan Atas kata-kata imam itu mereka akan keluar dan atas kata-kata imam itu mereka akan masuk baik Yosua mahupun semua orang Israel iaitu seluruh kalangan umat itu
