Berkatalah mereka sesama sendiri Ayuh kita cabut undi agar kita tahu bahana siapakah kita ditimpa malapetaka ini Lalu mereka membuang undi dan undi itu terjatuh pada Yunus

Jawabnya Angkat dan campaklah aku ke laut dan laut itu akan reda pula bagimu Aku tahu bahana akulah petaka ribut kencang ini menimpa kamu
