Daniel 1:5

Daniel 1:8

Daniel bertekad untuk tidak menajiskan diri dengan santapan atau minuman anggur diraja Oleh sebab itu dia meminta kepada ketua pegawai istana supaya diizinkan untuk tidak menajiskan diri

Daniel 1:13

Kemudian biarlah tuan mengamati perawakan kami berbanding dengan perawakan orang muda yang makan santapan diraja dan selepas itu perlakukanlah hamba-hambamu ini selaras dengan pengamatan tuan

Daniel 1:15

Setelah sepuluh hari berlalu tampaklah betapa perawakan mereka lebih baik dan tubuh mereka lebih gemuk daripada semua orang muda yang makan santapan diraja
