Firman Tuhan kepada Musa Pergilah kepada umat itu Sucikanlah mereka pada hari ini dan esok Mereka harus mencuci pakaian mereka

Numbers 11:18

Katakanlah kepada bangsa itu Sucikanlah dirimu untuk hari esoknya lalu kamu akan memakan daging Tuhan telah mendengar kamu menangis sambil berkata Siapakah yang akan memberi kami makan daging Keadaan kami di Mesir dahulu lebih baik Jadi Tuhan akan memberi kamu daging dan kamu akan memakannya

Joshua 3:5

Lalu Yosua berkata kepada bangsa itu Sucikanlah dirimu kerana esok Tuhan akan melakukan keajaiban-keajaiban dalam kalangan kamu

Jawabnya Ya dengan damai sejahtera Aku datang untuk mempersembahkan korban di hadapan Tuhan Sucikanlah dirimu dan datanglah untuk bersama-samaku ke upacara korban ini Lalu dia mentahbiskan Isai dan anak-anaknya serta mengundang mereka ke upacara korban itu

Katanya kepada mereka Kamu para ketua kaum keluarga Lewi Sucikanlah dirimu dan juga para saudaramu untuk mengangkut tabut Tuhan Allah Israel ke tempat yang telah kusiapkan
