Pada tahun ketiga puluh tujuh semasa pembuangan Yoyakhin raja Yehuda Ewil-Merodakh menaiki takhta menjadi raja Babel Pada tahun itu juga tepatnya pada hari kedua puluh lima bulan kedua belas dia memberikan keihsanan kepada Yoyakhin raja Yehuda dan mengeluarkannya daripada penjara
