Kata Yeremia kepada Zedekia Beginilah firman Tuhan Allah alam semesta Allah Israel Jika engkau mahu keluar menyerah kalah kepada para perwira raja Babel maka nyawamu akan terpelihara dan kota ini tidak akan dibakar habis Engkau dan keluargamu akan tetap hidup

Jawab Yeremia Mereka tidak akan menyerahkan engkau Patuhilah Tuhan dalam hal yang kusampaikan kepadamu maka keadaanmu akan baik dan nyawamu akan terpelihara
