Segala bangsa akan takluk kepadanya kepada anaknya dan kepada cucunya sampailah tiba waktu negerinya sendiri jatuh Pada waktu itu banyak bangsa dan raja besar akan menaklukkannya

Maka Raja Zedekia memberikan perintah agar Yeremia ditahan di pelataran penjagaan Setiap hari dia diberi seketul roti dari jalan Pembuat Roti sampailah waktu semua roti di kota itu habis Demikianlah Yeremia tinggal di pelataran penjagaan itu
