Kemudian malaikat Allah yang sebelumnya berjalan di depan pasukan Israel berpindah ke belakang mereka Tiang awan itu bergerak dari depan mereka lalu berdiri di belakang mereka

di antara pasukan Mesir dengan pasukan Israel Awan itu menimbulkan kegelapan di satu sisi dan cahaya di sisi yang lain pada malam hari sehingga semalaman itu pasukan Mesir tidak dapat menghampiri pasukan orang Israel
