Pada tengah malam Tuhan mematikan semua anak sulung di Tanah Mesir daripada anak sulung Firaun yang duduk di atas takhta sampai anak sulung para tawanan yang ada di dalam kurungan bawah tanah juga semua anak sulung haiwan

Sebaik sahaja Yehu selesai mempersembahkan korban bakaran berkatalah dia kepada para bentara dan para perwira Masuklah dan hancurkanlah mereka Jangan seorang pun yang dapat melepaskan diri Maka mereka mematikan orang itu dengan mata pedang Kemudian para bentara dan para perwira mencampakkan mayat-mayat itu lalu pergi ke gedung kuil Baal
