Exodus 12:22

Ambillah seikat ranting hisop celuplah di dalam darah yang telah ditempatkan dalam sebuah mangkuk lalu sapukanlah darah itu pada ambang pintu serta kedua-dua tiang pintu rumah Tiada seorang pun dalam kalangan kamu boleh keluar dari pintu rumahnya sampai pagi hari

Leviticus 14:4

maka hendaklah imam memerintahkan agar dibawa dua ekor burung hidup yang halal kayu araz secebis kain merah menyala dan ranting hisop bagi orang yang hendak disucikan itu

Leviticus 14:6

Kemudian hendaklah dia mengambil dan mencelup burung yang masih hidup itu ke dalam darah burung yang sudah disembelih itu bersama-sama kayu araz kain merah menyala dan ranting hisop

Leviticus 14:49

Untuk menyucikan rumah itu hendaklah dia mengambil dua ekor burung kayu araz kain merah menyala dan ranting hisop

Kemudian hendaklah dia mengambil kayu araz ranting hisop kain merah menyala dan burung yang masih hidup itu lalu mencelup kesemuanya ke dalam darah burung yang telah disembelih serta air segar tadi untuk selanjutnya memerciki rumah itu tujuh kali

Leviticus 14:52

Hendaklah dia menyucikan rumah itu dengan darah burung air segar burung yang hidup kayu araz ranting hisop dan kain merah menyala itu

Numbers 19:6

Setelah itu hendaklah imam mengambil kayu araz ranting hisop dan kain merah tua lalu melemparkannya ke dalam api yang sedang membakar lembu itu

Numbers 19:18

Selanjutnya hendaklah seorang yang suci mengambil ranting hisop dan mencelupnya ke dalam air itu Kemudian air itu harus dipercikkan pada khemah tadi pada semua wadah pada orang yang ada di dalam khemah atau pada orang yang telah menyentuh tulang belulang menyentuh mayat orang yang dibunuh menyentuh mayat biasa atau menyentuh makam tadi
