Meskipun begitu hati Firaun tetap keras dan dia enggan mendengar permintaan Musa dan Harun sebagaimana yang telah difirmankan oleh Tuhan

Exodus 7:22

Tetapi para ahli ilmu sihir Mesir membuat hal yang sama dengan ilmu mereka maka hati Firaun tetap keras Dia tidak mahu mendengar apa yang dikatakan oleh kedua-dua mereka sebagaimana yang telah difirmankan Tuhan

Maka Musa pun melaksanakan semuanya sebagaimana yang diperintahkan oleh Tuhan kepadanya

lalu dibakarnya dupa daripada rempah-ratus harum di atas mazbah itu sebagaimana yang diperintahkan oleh Tuhan

Kata Musa kepada Harun Datang dekatlah ke mazbah dan persembahkanlah korban penghapus dosamu serta korban bakaranmu dan adakan pendamaian demi dirimu dan demi umat ini Kemudian persembahkanlah korban umat itu dan adakanlah pendamaian bagi mereka sebagaimana yang diperintahkan oleh Tuhan

Bahagian dada dan paha kanan diunjukkan Harun sebagai persembahan unjukan di hadapan Tuhan sebagaimana yang diperintahkan oleh Musa

Isinya menetapkan hari-hari Purim itu pada waktu yang ditentukan sebagaimana yang telah ditetapkan bagi mereka oleh Mordekhai orang Yahudi itu juga oleh Ratu Ester dan sebagaimana yang telah ditetapkan oleh mereka sendiri bagi diri mereka sendiri serta bagi keturunan mereka dalam hal berpuasa dan meratap
