Namun begitu burung merpati itu tidak menemukan tempat untuk hinggap kerana air masih meliputi seluruh permukaan bumi Maka kembalilah merpati itu kepada Nuh di dalam bahtera itu Nuh menghulurkan tangannya lantas mengambil dan membawa burung itu masuk ke dalam bahtera
