Khabar tentang segala malapetaka yang menimpa Ayub itu terdengar oleh ketiga-tiga orang sahabatnya iaitu Elifas orang Teman Bildad orang Suah dan Zofar orang Naama Maka mereka pun bermuafakat dan bersiap untuk pergi dari tempat masing-masing untuk berdukacita bersama-sama dia serta menyenangkan hatinya
