Atas sebab itulah hari-hari itu dinamai Purim bersempena dengan kata pur Jadi berdasarkan seluruh isi surat itu dan segala yang telah dilihat mereka sehubungan dengan hal itu dan apa yang telah menimpa mereka

Ezekiel 31:18

Dalam hal kemuliaan dan kebesaran dengan siapa engkau dapat disamakan antara pokok taman Eden Akan tetapi engkau akan diturunkan bersama-sama pokok-pokok taman Eden ke bahagian bumi yang terbawah Engkau akan terbujur antara orang yang tidak bersunat bersama-sama orang yang terbunuh oleh pedang Itulah Firaun dan seluruh rakyatnya demikianlah firman Tuhan Allah
