Setelah tersiarnya titah perintah raja itu ramai gadis yang dikumpulkan di dalam puri Susan di bawah pengawasan Hegai Ester juga dibawa masuk ke dalam istana raja dan ditempatkan di bawah pengawasan Hegai yang bertugas menjaga para perempuan
