Pada bulan pertama iaitu bulan Nisan pada tahun kedua belas zaman Raja Ahasyweros Haman menyuruh orang membuang pur iaitu mencabut undi di hadapannya untuk menentukan hari dan bulan Undi itu terjatuh pada bulan kedua belas iaitu bulan Adar
