Ketika tiba giliran Ester anak Abihail iaitu bapa saudara Mordekhai yang mengambil Ester sebagai anak angkatnya untuk masuk menghadap raja dia tidak meminta apa-apa selain yang dianjurkan oleh Hegai sida raja yang bertugas menjaga para perempuan Maka Ester menimbulkan rasa sayang di mata semua orang yang melihat dia
