Genesis 41:19

Sesudah itu muncul pula tujuh ekor lembu lain yang lemah lumpuh sangat buruk bentuknya dan kurus kering badannya Belum pernah aku melihat lembu seburuk itu di seluruh Tanah Mesir

Akan tetapi jika lembu itu sejak dahulu memang sering menanduk dan pemiliknya tidak mahu menjaganya walaupun sudah diberikan peringatan lalu lembu itu menanduk mati seorang lelaki atau perempuan maka lembu itu harus direjam dan pemiliknya pun harus dihukum mati

Jika persembahannya berupa korban bakaran daripada lembu maka hendaklah dipersembahkan seekor lembu jantan yang tiada cacat celanya Hendaklah dia mempersembahkannya di pintu Khemah Pertemuan supaya Tuhan berkenan menerimanya

Leviticus 1:5

Selanjutnya hendaklah dia menyembelih lembu jantan muda itu di hadapan Tuhan kemudian anak-anak Harun iaitu para imam hendaklah memercikkan darah lembu itu ke sekeliling mazbah yang terletak di hadapan pintu Khemah Pertemuan itu

Serahkanlah lembu itu kepada Imam Eleazar Selanjutnya hendaklah lembu itu dibawa ke luar perkhemahan dan hendaklah disembelih di hadapannya

Kemudian hendaklah Imam Eleazar mengambil sebahagian daripada darah lembu itu dengan jarinya dan memercikkannya tujuh kali ke sebelah depan Khemah Pertemuan

Lalu hendaklah lembu itu dibakar di hadapan matanya Hendaklah kulit daging darah malah kotoran lembu itu dibakar

Orang yang membakar lembu itu juga harus mencuci pakaiannya dan membasuh tubuhnya dengan air dan dia juga menjadi najis sampai waktu maghrib

Ambillah pula lembu jantan untuk korban penghapus dosa Biarlah lembu itu dibakar di tempat yang sudah ditentukan di Bait Suci iaitu di luar tempat suci
