Ezra 5:12

Akan tetapi kerana bangkitnya kemurkaan Allah semesta langit terhadap nenek moyang kami maka Dia menyerahkan mereka ke dalam tangan Nebukadnezar raja Babel orang Kasdim yang kemudian memusnahkan bait itu dan membuang bangsa itu ke Babel

Setelah itu Raja Darius mengeluarkan perintah lalu carian dibuat di dalam perbendaharaan tempat tersimpannya perbendaharaan di Babel

Juga segala alat kelengkapan daripada emas dan perak milik Rumah Allah yang dahulunya diambil oleh Nebukadnezar dari Bait Suci di Yerusalem lalu dibawa ke Babel hendaklah dikembalikan dan dibawa pulang ke tempat asalnya semula iaitu di Bait Suci di Yerusalem Hendaklah kamu meletakkan setiap kelengkapan di tempatnya di dalam Rumah Allah itu

Bawa juga segala perak dan emas yang akan kauperoleh di seluruh wilayah Babel bersama dengan persembahan sukarela yang akan diberikan rakyat dan para imam untuk Bait Allah mereka yang ada di Yerusalem

Apabila mendengar hal itu raja menjadi gusar dan sangat murka Lalu dia memberikan perintah untuk membinasakan semua orang bijak di Babel

Dia menyuruh mereka memohon rahmat daripada Allah semesta langit sehubungan dengan rahsia itu supaya Daniel dan teman-temannya tidak turut dibinasakan dengan orang bijak yang lain di Babel

Oleh sebab itu Daniel pergi menemui Ariokh yang telah dilantik oleh raja untuk membinasakan orang bijak di Babel Dia pergi dan berkata demikian kepadanya Jangan binasakan orang bijak di Babel Bawalah hamba menghadap raja Hamba akan memberitahukan tafsiran mimpi itu kepada raja

Kemudian raja menjadikan Daniel orang besar dan mengurniakan kepadanya pemberian yang amat banyak Dia menjadikan Daniel penguasa atas seluruh Wilayah Babel dan ketua atas semua orang bijak di Babel

Kemudian raja menaikkan kedudukan Sadrakh Mesakh dan Abednego di Wilayah Babel

Oleh sebab itu aku mengeluarkan titah agar semua bijak pandai di Babel hendaklah dibawa menghadap aku supaya mereka memberitahukan kepadaku tafsiran mimpi itu
