Namun demikian pada masa itu juga mereka didatangi oleh Tatnai pembesar daerah seberang Sungai Efrat berserta Syetar-Boznai dan rakan-rakan mereka Beginilah kata mereka Siapakah yang memberikan perintah kepadamu untuk membina Bait ini dan menyelesaikan pembinaan ini

Ezra 5:8

Semoga Raja maklum bahawa kami telah pergi ke wilayah Yehuda ke Bait Allah Yang Maha Besar Bait itu sedang dibina dengan batu yang besar-besar dan tembok-temboknya dilapisi dengan kayu Pekerjaan itu dikerjakan dengan saksama dan berjalan lancar dalam tangan mereka

Tambahan pula dengan ini aku memberikan perintah tentang bagaimana kamu harus membantu tua-tua orang Yahudi itu membina semula Bait Allah itu perbelanjaan mereka itu hendaklah dibiayai sepenuhnya daripada perbendaharaan kerajaan tanpa berlengah iaitu cukai yang terpungut dari daerah seberang Sungai Efrat

Ezra 7:16

Bawa juga segala perak dan emas yang akan kauperoleh di seluruh wilayah Babel bersama dengan persembahan sukarela yang akan diberikan rakyat dan para imam untuk Bait Allah mereka yang ada di Yerusalem
