Demikianlah terhentinya kerja-kerja membina Rumah Allah di Yerusalem itu dan terus terhenti sehingga tahun kedua dalam pemerintahan Darius raja Parsi

Ezra 5:2

Lalu bangkitlah Zerubabel anak Sealtiel dan Yesua anak Yozadak untuk memulakan pembinaan semula Rumah Allah di Yerusalem Mereka disertai dan disokong oleh kedua-dua orang nabi Allah itu

Ezra 5:13

Tetapi Kores raja Babel memberikan perintah pada tahun pertama pemerintahannya agar Rumah Allah ini dibina semula

Ezra 5:14

Bahkan segala kelengkapan emas dan perak daripada Rumah Allah yang dahulunya diambil oleh Nebukadnezar dari Bait Suci di Yerusalem dan yang kemudiannya dibawa ke dalam kuil di Babel seluruhnya diambil oleh Raja Kores dari kuil di Babel dan diserahkan kepada seorang bernama Sesbazar yang diangkatnya menjadi pembesar

Ezra 5:15

Titah raja kepadanya Ambillah segala kelengkapan ini Pergilah letaklah kesemuanya di Bait Suci di Yerusalem dan biarlah Rumah Allah dibina semula di tempat asalnya

Ezra 5:16

Selanjutnya Sesbazar datang dan meletakkan asas Rumah Allah di Yerusalem Maka sejak masa itu sampai sekarang bait itu dibina tetapi belum selesai

Ezra 5:17

Sekarang jika diperkenan oleh Raja adakanlah suatu carian di dalam perbendaharaan diraja di Babel sama ada Raja Kores pernah memberikan perintah untuk membina semula Rumah Allah di Yerusalem itu Kemudian sudilah Raja menyampaikan kehendaknya tentang hal tersebut kepada kami

Ezra 6:3

Pada tahun pertama dalam zaman pemerintahan Raja Kores raja memberikan perintah mengenai Rumah Allah di Yerusalem Biarlah bait itu dibina semula sebagai tempat mempersembahkan korban dan biarkan asasnya diletakkan dengan teguh Hendaklah ketinggiannya enam puluh hasta dan lebarnya enam puluh hasta

Ezra 6:5

Juga segala alat kelengkapan daripada emas dan perak milik Rumah Allah yang dahulunya diambil oleh Nebukadnezar dari Bait Suci di Yerusalem lalu dibawa ke Babel hendaklah dikembalikan dan dibawa pulang ke tempat asalnya semula iaitu di Bait Suci di Yerusalem Hendaklah kamu meletakkan setiap kelengkapan di tempatnya di dalam Rumah Allah itu

Biarkanlah pembinaan Rumah Allah itu dikerjakan Biarkanlah pembesar orang Yahudi dan tua-tua orang Yahudi membina semula Rumah Allah itu di tempat asalnya

Semoga Allah yang telah membuat nama-Nya bersemayam di sana menjatuhkan mana-mana raja atau orang yang mengingkari perintah ini dan menghancurkan Rumah Allah di Yerusalem itu Aku Darius memberikan perintah ini Hendaklah perintah ini dilaksanakan tepat mengikut setiap perkataannya

Ezra 6:16

Kemudian orang Israel para imam bani Lewi dan semua yang lain yang pulang daripada pembuangan merayakan perasmian Rumah Allah itu dengan gembira

Ezra 6:17

Untuk perasmian Rumah Allah itu mereka mempersembahkan seratus ekor lembu jantan dua ratus ekor domba jantan dan empat ratus ekor anak domba serta dua belas ekor kambing jantan sebagai korban penghapus dosa bagi semua orang Israel menurut jumlah suku Israel

Ezra 7:24

Tambahan pula dengan ini kami memberitahumu bahawa tidak boleh dikenakan cukai ufti atau bea kepada sesiapa sahaja daripada para imam bani Lewi penyanyi penjaga pintu gerbang pelayan Bait Suci dan pekerja Rumah Allah itu

Daniel 5:3

Lalu dibawalah wadah-wadah emas yang telah diangkut dari Bait Suci yakni Rumah Allah di Yerusalem Lalu raja para pembesarnya para isteri dan para gundiknya minum daripada wadah itu
