Pada suatu waktu Roh Allah turun ke atas Azarya anak Oded

Setelah Asa mendengar kata-kata dan nubuat daripada nabi Azarya anak Oded itu dia menguatkan hatinya dan menjauhkan patung-patung berhala yang keji dari seluruh Tanah Yehuda Benyamin dan dari kota-kota yang direbutnya di Pergunungan Efraim Dipugarnya mazbah Tuhan yang ada di depan serambi Bait Tuhan

Namun demikian di sana ada seorang nabi Tuhan yang bernama Oded Dia pergi menemui tentera yang pulang ke Samaria itu dan berkata kepada mereka Lihatlah kerana Tuhan Allah nenek moyangmu murka terhadap Yehuda maka Dia menyerahkan mereka ke dalam tanganmu Tetapi kamu telah membantai mereka dengan kegeraman yang sampai ke langit
