Sekarang kamu fikir bahawa kamu dapat bertahan melawan kerajaan Tuhan yang dipercayakan kepada keturunan Daud kerana jumlah kamu ramai dan padamu ada patung-patung anak lembu emas yang dibuat Yerobeam sebagai berhalamu

Tuhan membuat ketetapan tentang engkau wahai Niniwe Tidak akan ada lagi penerus namamu Aku akan melenyapkan patung ukiran dan patung tuangan di dalam kuil berhalamu Aku akan menyediakan kuburmu kerana engkau ini hina
