Ketika kerajaan Rehabeam sudah kukuh dan kedudukannya sudah kuat dia serta seluruh Israel meninggalkan hukum Tuhan

Kemudian Raja Rehabeam memperkuat kedudukannya dan bertakhta di Yerusalem Rehabeam berumur empat puluh satu tahun pada waktu dia menaiki takhta Tujuh belas tahun lamanya ia bertakhta di Yerusalem kota yang dipilih Tuhan daripada antara semua suku Israel untuk menegakkan nama-Nya di sana Nama ibunya ialah Naama orang Amon

Aku akan mengukuhkan kedudukannya seperti pasak di tempat yang teguh dan dia akan menjadi takhta kemuliaan bagi kaum keluarganya
