Maka tiga orang kesateria utama itu menerobos perkhemahan orang Filistin dan menimba air daripada perigi Betlehem yang ada berdekatan dengan pintu gerbang lalu mengangkat dan membawanya kepada Daud Namun demikian Daud tidak mahu meminumnya malahan dia mencurahkannya sebagai persembahan kepada Tuhan
