Demikianlah semua tua-tua Israel datang menghadap raja di Hebron lalu Daud mengikat perjanjian dengan mereka di Hebron di hadapan Tuhan Maka mereka melantik Daud menjadi raja atas orang Israel seperti yang difirmankan Tuhan dengan perantaraan Samuel
