Yozadak turut dibuang ketika Tuhan membiarkan orang Yehuda dan orang Yerusalem dibuang oleh Nebukadnezar

Pada hari pertama bulan keenam dalam tahun kedua pemerintahan Raja Darius datanglah firman Tuhan menerusi Nabi Hagai sebagai perantaraan kepada pembesar negeri Yehuda iaitu Zerubabel anak Sealtiel dan kepada imam besar iaitu Yosua anak Yozadak seperti begini

Haggai 1:12

Lalu Zerubabel anak Sealtiel dan Yosua anak Yozadak imam besar dan semua saki-baki umat bangsa itu mematuhi seruan Tuhan Allah mereka dan juga perkhabaran Nabi Hagai sebagaimana beliau diutus serta diperintahkan oleh Tuhan Allah mereka dan bangsa itu pun takut kepada Tuhan

Haggai 1:14

Lalu Tuhan mendorong semangat pembesar Yehuda iaitu Zerubabel anak Sealtiel dan imam besar iaitu Yosua anak Yozadak dan semangat seluruh saki-baki umat bangsa itu Seterusnya mereka pun pergi untuk bekerja menyempurnakan Bait Tuhan alam semesta Allah mereka

Katakanlah begini kepada pembesar Yehuda Zerubabel anak Sealtiel dan kepada imam besar Yosua anak Yozadak dan kepada warga bangsa itu yang selebihnya

Namun begitu kuatkanlah hatimu wahai Zerubabel demikianlah firman Tuhan kuatkanlah hatimu wahai Yosua anak Yozadak imam besar kuatkanlah hatimu wahai semua warga negeri sekalian demikianlah firman Tuhan berusahalah kerana Aku menyertai kamu demikianlah firman Tuhan alam semesta

Ambillah perak dan emas buatlah mahkota lalu kenakanlah pada kepala Imam Besar Yosua anak Yozadak
