Genesis 35:17

Ketika dia mengalami kesukaran yang teruk berkatalah bidan kepadanya Jangan takut kerana kali ini pun kamu akan mendapat seorang anak lelaki

AV: And it came to pass, when she was in hard <07185> (8687) labour <03205> (8800), that the midwife <03205> (8764) said <0559> (8799) unto her, Fear <03372> (8799) not; thou shalt have this son <01121> also.

Exodus 1:15

Raja Mesir juga memerintahkan para bidan orang Ibrani iaitu seorang yang bernama Sifra dan nama yang seorang lagi pula Pua

Lalu raja Mesir memanggil para bidan itu dan bertanya kepada mereka Mengapakah kamu melakukan hal ini membiarkan para bayi lelaki hidup

Jawab para bidan itu kepada Firaun Sebabnya perempuan Ibrani tidak seperti perempuan Mesir Mereka lebih kuat Sebelum bidan tiba mereka sudah siap bersalin

AV: And the midwives <03205> (8764) said <0559> (8799) unto Pharaoh <06547>, Because the Hebrew <05680> women <0802> [are] not as the Egyptian women <04713>; for they [are] lively <02422>, and are delivered <03205> (8804) ere <02962> the midwives <03205> (8764) come in <0935> (8799) unto them.

Maka Allah memberkati para bidan itu dan orang Israel terus bertambah ramai dan menjadi sangat kuat

Exodus 1:21

Selain itu kerana para bidan itu takut kepada Allah Dia memberkati mereka dengan kaum keluarga mereka sendiri

AV: And it came to pass, because the midwives <03205> (8764) feared <03372> (8804) God <0430>, that he made <06213> (8799) them houses <01004>.
