Paulus menulis tentang hal-hal demikian dalam semua suratnya Sesetengahnya sukar difahami lalu orang yang jahil dan tipis iman memesongkan ertinya ke arah kebinasaan diri mereka sendiri Demikian juga dilakukan oleh mereka terhadap tulisan-tulisan lain dalam Kitab Suci
