1 Corinthians 7:10

Kepada yang sudah berkahwin inilah perintahku yang sebenarnya bukan perintah aku tetapi perintah Tuhan Seorang isteri tidak boleh meninggalkan suaminya

Kepada yang lain aku memberikan nasihat ini iaitu nasihatku sendiri bukan perintah Tuhan Jika seorang lelaki beriman mempunyai isteri yang tidak beriman dan isteri itu bersetuju terus hidup bersamanya maka lelaki itu tidak boleh menceraikan isterinya

Jika seorang wanita beriman mempunyai suami yang tidak beriman dan suami itu bersetuju untuk terus hidup bersamanya maka wanita itu tidak boleh menceraikan suaminya
